March 2018 – Phishing Security Awareness

1. If you receive an email from your associate that says "scanned from HP multi-function printer", and your office has an HP multi-function printer, it is safe to open the document.

2. When sending an email, it is okay to send just the last 4 digits of someone's social security number. 

3. If you click on an infected link, you will know right away that your computer has been affected.

4. If you have replied to a phishing email that had no link or attachment, like the one below, you are in no further danger.

5. If an Email "From" field is an individual that you know and trust, it is safe to reply.

6. When replying to emails from other staff members, it is good policy to _______ to avoid putting personal or sensitive information in the wrong hands.
